Farz - Wajib and Sunnahs of Umrah

Ihram: It is the entry of a person into the framework of accepting that some acts and behaviors that are halal at other times are prohibited for a certain period of time.

Every worship has a beginning. Undoubtedly, this beginning is with intention and an action that follows the intention. Here too, ihram begins with intention and talbiyah. Thus, one enters a spiritual atmosphere.

The word reverence has the same root as ihram. Entering such an atmosphere is intended to lead people to worship with a sense of reverence. The prohibitions of each worship are in accordance with its own structure.

By intending to perform Hajj, Umrah or Hajj-i qiraq, and then reciting talbiyah, one enters ihram and the prohibitions of ihram begin.

One of these prohibitions is. Men wear clothes that are shaped according to their bodies, either by sewing, knitting or weaving.

In order to comply with this prohibition, the veil that men wear, consisting of two pieces called "rida" and "izar", has become famous as "ihram", and when people say "entering ihram", it is understood to wear these veils.

As mentioned, "entering ihram" is done with intention and talbiyah. Every man or woman who makes the intention and makes talbiyah enters ihram from this moment on, and the prohibitions on ihram begin with the entry into ihram. There is a slight difference between the ihram prohibitions of men and women.

It is not possible to convey the necessary information about ihram prohibitions and penalties in case of violation in a book of this size. However, we will draw attention, albeit in a few lines, to the most common of these prohibitions and those that require primary attention:

IHRAM PROHIBITIONS:

1-For men, clothes shaped according to the body by sewing, knitting or weaving to wear.

2-Again, for men, to cover their heads, wear gloves, socks and shoes with closed heels. (Sandals that are used to grip the heel also have this meaning.)

3-For women, covering their faces with something that touches their skin.

For both;

1-Shaving any part of the body, plucking hair from the body, cutting nails.

2-Applying a nice scent. (Using fragrant soaps, detergents, and cologne wipes while in ihram is a common mistake.)

3-Making lustful words and behaviors, having sexual intercourse.

4-Arguing with others, fighting with them, to break his heart.

5-To pluck the grass and trees that grow without human labor within the borders of Mecca harem...

A Person in Ihram;

It is permissible to take a shower, use unscented soap during the shower, wear rings, wristwatches, belts, neck bags, wash one's ihram without using scented substances when it gets dirty, replace the ihram with another one in cases of contamination, tearing, etc., use odorless cream for diaper rash and foot ulcers, cover oneself with a blanket, pique without covering one's head, and use an umbrella... Having stitches on the slippers you wear will not harm your ihram.

UMRA'S OBLIGATIONS:

1 – Ihram 2 - Performing Tawaf

THE RULES OF IHRAM: 1- Intention: The worship to be performed is determined by the heart and said with the tongue. 2- Telbiyah: To say talbiyah after the intention is made, that is, to recite the "Lebbeyk" prayer.

REQUIREMENTS OF IHRAM:

1- To become ihram before crossing the Miqat borders. 2- Avoiding prohibited acts while in ihram.

SUNNAHS OF IHRAM:

1- As a preliminary preparation for ihram, if necessary, cut the nails and clean the armpit and pubic hair.

2-If possible, perform ablution before entering ihram. If full ablution is not possible, ihram is performed by performing ablution. Those who cannot find this opportunity can perform tayammum for the ihram prayer.

3-Performing a two-rakat prayer. 4-To recite talbiyah at every opportunity and to repeat talbiyah three times.

CONDITIONS OF Tawaf:

1-Intention: It is necessary to intend to tawaf. However, it would be more appropriate to make the intention of what tawaf he will do (Hajj, Umrah, Nafilah) by saying it verbally.

2-Performing the tawaf by turning around the Kaaba. 3-Completing the shawts after starting the tawaf.

VACIBES OF Tawaf:

1-To have ablution. 2-The private parts of men and women should be covered. 3-Walking with the Kaaba on the left side while performing Tawaf. 4-Starting Tawaf from Hacer'ul-Esved line. 6-Performing Tawaf by walking for those who are able. 7-Performing two rak'ats of "tawaf prayer" after each tawaf. The absence of impurity. 2-Starting Tawaf by coming from the direction of Rukn al-Yamani.

3-Kissing Hacer'ul-Esved or touching her from a distance when starting Tawaf and at the end of each round. 4-Men should open their right arms and shoulders.

5-If possible, men should do jamel during Umrah tawaf. 6-Performing all the conditions of Tawaf one after the other, without a break.

WARDS OF UMRA:

1- Performing Sa'y, 2- Shaving the hair,

CONDITIONS FOR SA'Y TO BE VALID:

1- Performing Sa'y while in ihram after the tawaf of Umrah. 2-Making the intention and making the shawts, starting from Safa. (The first four shawts are rukuns.)

WARDS OF SA'Y:

1-Those who can do sa'y should do it by walking. 2-Doing Sa'y as seven rounds.

SA'Y'S SUNNATS:

1-Doing Tawaf and Sa'y one after the other without a break. 2-Doing Sa'y with ablution. 3-There should be no dirt on his body or clothes that would prevent prayer.

4-To invade Hacer'ül-Esved before starting Sa'y. 5-Climbing the Safa and Marwa hills to the Kaaba sight. 6-Turn your face to the Kaaba on the hills of Safa and Marwa and say takbir and tahli.

7-Men walking quickly and strutting with short steps between the green poles.

8-During Sa'y. To be busy with takbir, analysis and prayer. 9-If possible, do all the shavings in a row.

SHAVE / Hair shaving can be done in two ways:

Folk: It means shaving the entire hair from the bottom. This is more effective.

Takkir: Cutting off a "common amount" (the length of the three knuckles of the finger) from one-third or one-fourth of the head. Shaving that harms the dignity of a Muslim, such as leaving bangs, is makruh. Those whose hair length is less than the "unmule" amount cannot make a mistake, the public has to do it. Ladies just make mistakes. It is considered tahrimi makruh to do it in public.

From the moment you shave, all ihram prohibitions are lifted. Your Umrah is completed. You can wander around Mecca like a Meccan, perform voluntary circumambulation, and spend your time with worship and prayers.
